About

About Rosewood & Quill Press

In a literary landscape shaped by speed and constant visibility, the press exists to support work that unfolds slowly and resists urgency. It publishes selectively, guided by attention, patience, and the belief that meaning emerges most fully when it is allowed to take its time.

Each project is approached as a whole. Language, imagery, design, and presentation are considered together, with equal care given to how a book is made as to what it contains. The aim is not volume, but presence, not accumulation, but resonance.

Rosewood & Quill Press is devoted to books and artworks that invite quiet engagement and reward sustained looking. These are works meant to be lived with, revisited, and discovered gradually. The press holds that stillness is not absence, but depth.

The Founder

Rosewood & Quill Press was founded by April Ronay and grew from a personal creative practice rooted in attention and care.

April Ronay lives and works in Long Beach, California, creating books that move between words and images and are shaped by nature, memory, and the quiet spaces where meaning emerges. Her work is guided by slowness and return, and by the belief that some forms of understanding reveal themselves only over time.
